Challenge
The gym had a plunge already and members had stopped using it — it sat at 16 °C every Saturday because the inline chiller could not keep up with the queue.

Concept
We sized the replacement from the peak hour rather than the average, moved the chiller outside the wet room, and rearranged the layout so the walk from sauna to plunge is four steps instead of fifteen.

Systems
An eight-person sauna on a 9 kW heater, twin plunges on a remote C3 chiller, and two recovery showers placed on the return leg.

Execution
Nine weeks, with the gym open throughout. The chiller plinth and louvred screen went in first so the noisy work finished before the plunges arrived.

Result
The plunges hold 9 °C through Saturday peak. The gym reports recovery as the most-cited reason for renewal in its member survey.
